Designed to conquer long-distance treks and off-road detours alike, it offers stronger performance, enhanced traction control, and premium features such as an 8-inch MMI Display, RDS rear radar, and Michelin tires.
Design & Style
With its neo-adventure silhouette and a more commanding front end, the 800MT Explore Edition demands attention wherever it goes. Its tall yet well-balanced geometry combines easy street handling with a comfortable stance for extended touring. Waterproof and dustproof to IP67 standards, the vivid 8-inch touchscreen display offers tablet-like clarity and smooth operation, seamlessly integrating with the newly optimized traction control system for greater stability and peace of mind.
Power & Lightweight Engineering
At the heart of this machine lies a 799cc parallel twin-cylinder DOHC engine, delivering 67kW @ 9250rpm (95hp) and 75N·m @ 8000rpm. Weighing only 16kg for both the main frame and sub-frame, alongside a high-strength cast aluminum alloy swingarm of 6.9kg, this bike achieves a curb weight of just 231kg (without luggage) – strikingly agile for its class. A smooth ride-by-wire throttle, combined with a CF-SC slipper clutch, ensures precise power delivery and effortless shifting across various ride conditions.
Performance & Handling
Touring comfort meets off-road capability with fully adjustable KYB suspension: a 160mm upside-down front fork (20 clicks for preload, rebound, and damping) and a 150mm rear shock (20 clicks for preload and rebound). J. Juan disc brakes deliver reliable stopping power via dual 320mm radial calipers up front and a 260mm single disc at the rear. The Michelin tires, sized 19” at the front and 17” at the rear, deliver excellent grip on diverse surfaces, while 190mm of ground clearance enhances the bike’s ability to tackle challenging terrain. A stabilizer helps reduce jolts through the handlebars, providing greater comfort on extended adventures.
Riding Experience & Technology
Selectable riding modes (Sport, Rain, Off-road, All-terrain) let riders adapt quickly to changing conditions. A quick shift system enables seamless gear changes, while the Cornering ABS adds confidence during spirited cornering on twisting roads or loose terrain. Cruise Control allows speeds of up to 120 km/h for relaxed highway travel. The updated RDS rear radar further elevates safety by monitoring blind spots, and a comprehensive menu system on the multifunction handlebar allows tire pressure checks at a glance. Two lockable aluminum side cases provide 63L of combined storage space, plus an additional 6L top case for extra convenience on long journeys.
